Leeds United made it seven unbeaten in all competitions with a late equaliser away at AFC Bournemouth, substitute Sean Longstaff thumping home in stoppage time to level the tie.
Wilfried Gnonto had originally equalised in the second half, before Longstaff was called upon to again fight back from a goal down in midweek Premier League action.
After the draw, Daniel Farke said: “I think for us, it’s a very priceless point, not just for the table, the point, but also the manner. Being good in possession today was a point of mentality, of fight, of belief, of dealing in setbacks, of togetherness, of spirit.
“It feels today also like a win, and this type of winning points is sometimes more important than the easy 2-0, 3-0 or 4-0, so this is important for the group, important for the mentality, for the spirit.
“And also to know we can’t just win points when we are at our very best, dominating like we’ve done in the last games. So sometimes, even with will and belief and in a scruffy game for us, we can also fight our way to a point. That’s what we’ve done.
“It’s a perfect moral booster, not just for the cup game but also for the whole run-in, and definitely good for us.”
