We have charged a man who is believed to be responsible for a collision that occurred yesterday morning that resulted in damage to several parked vehicles in the city’s southwest.
At approximately 2:10 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, a 2018 BMW M5, operated by a 19-year-old man, was reportedly travelling northbound on Macleod Trail S.W., at a high rate of speed.
As the vehicle approached 58 Avenue S.W., it is believed the driver attempted to turn westbound onto 58 Avenue S.W., while fleeing a traffic stop.
The BMW then struck the rear of a parked vehicle, causing a chain reaction that damaged seven parked vehicles along 58 Avenue S.W.
As a result, Kane Anignostis BURROWS, 19, has been charged with two counts of impaired driving related offences and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.Â
BURROWS is scheduled to next appear in court on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025.
