In a fresh update from National Highways, they have confirmed formal investigations are taking place and the road will likely be shut for some time.
The statement says: “Following serious road traffic collisions, police are required to undertake formal collision investigations at the scene.
“National Highways supports this work by providing traffic management, and the duration of these investigations can vary depending on the complexity and scale of the scene.”
