Scott Parker’s track record will help him land another Championship job despite his Premier League woes.
That is according to Simon Jordan following the former Burnley manager’s Turf Moor exit.

The Clarets confirmed Parker had left the club by mutual consent on Thursday.
It came eight days after the club’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.
Parker guided the club out of the Championship as runners-up last season.
The achievement marked the third time the 45-year-old had been promoted from the second-tier.

He previously secured a spot in the top-flight whilst in charge of Fulham and Bournemouth.
Jordan reacted to the news moments after Burnley announced Parker’s departure.
Speaking on White & Jordan, the former Crystal Palace chairman said: “Scott will go on, I think, reasonably intact.
“People will position him as a Championship manager now, someone that can get you out of the Championship and into the Premier League, and not any further than that.”
As for whether the decision is fair or not, the talkSPORT co-host made comparisons to Parker’s predecessor Vincent Kompany.
Jordan added: “Is it unfair for Vincent Kompany? He’s now the manager of Bayern Munich, potentially the best side in Europe. So is it unfair?

“These are the cards that you’re dealt. It may well be that he is a championship-winning manager in the Championship, is that such a terrible thing?
“That’s not a bad profession, not a bad place to be, you’re still going to get big bags of money and lots of acclaim.
“He will want to be better. He played at elite level, he played for his country, from what I gather he’s a decent bloke.
“I didn’t agree with his principles when he flapped his gums at Bournemouth but I suspect he probably learnt from that.
“So he’ll go, having got Burnley promoted, having done no worse than his predecessor.”
Return to Spurs?
Tottenham broadcaster Abbi Summers admitted she would take Parker at Spurs if they get relegated.

talkSPORT understands there is no relegation clause in Roberto De Zerbi’s contract and the Italian is expected to remain at the club even if they do not survive in the Premier League this season.
However, Summers suggested Parker would be a good appointment if De Zerbi goes back on his word.
“I know he said that he’ll be there in the Championship. Whether or not that is going to be true, we’ll soon find out if that is the case,” she said on the latest episode of Inside Spurs.
“If not, my pick would be someone like a Robbie Keane. I would even say someone like Scott Parker.
“He knows how to get out of the division and also he played for this club.”
talkSPORT’s Sonny Snelling echoed Jordan’s thoughts on Kompany while expressing his support for Parker.

He added: “I think Parker’s a good shout because you look at Kompany, everyone wrote him off at Burnley.
“He’s gone to Bayern Munich and obviously I know that’s a different thing, but you can take a manager and put them in a different scenario…
“Parker was shocking at Bournemouth, for example, but put him in a team where he is going to get that love and appreciation and understands it, then it could be a whole different scenario altogether.”
Kompany departed Burnley for Bayern Munich following their relegation from the Premier League in 2024.
Parker was subsequently appointed as his successor before clinching promotion last April.
His side ended the season on 100 points following a 33-match unbeaten run.

As well as his Championship and Premier League experience, Parker previously had a spell of Club Brugge.
Following his Bournemouth exit, he took charge of the Belgian side between December 2022 and March 2023.
