Six men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in Fairfield. Emergency services were called to Balmoral Road in Fairfield at around 11.20am on Thursday, May 14 after the “unexpected” death of a man.

Merseyside Police said a post-mortem was held yesterday (Thursday), however, the cause of death is currently pending further medical investigations. Police launched an investigation and arrested six men, aged 30,42, 45, 50, 54, 53 and 58, from Liverpool, on suspicion of murder.

All six men were taken to a police station in Merseyside where they remain in custody. Police said enquiries remain ongoing.

The man’s next of kin have been informed.
