IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir said that Israel should attack Beirut in response to Hezbollah’s drone attacks on Israeli troops in southern Lebanon during a Security Cabinet meeting on Monday, sources confirmed to The Jerusalem Post.
Zamir arrived at the meeting after visiting the 401st Brigade in northern Israel, and had been present at the brigade’s headquarters when Sgt. Nehoray Leizer was killed by an explosive drone.
“We need to shoot down 10 buildings in Beirut for every 10 drones,” Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich added.
This is a developing story.
