The defender was given a one-match suspension

Adelaide will look to overturn a one-match ban given to defender Rory Laird for an incident during the Crows’ Round 22 clash against West Coast.

The Match Review Officer charged Laird with rough conduct against Eagles forward Jamie Cripps during the third quarter of the match at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

The incident was graded as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

Adelaide will appeal the MRO’s decision.

The appeal will be heard at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night.
