Police on Bold Street in Liverpool city centre
Emergency services were called to Liverpool city centre after a man was found dead. Multiple police cars, including a scientific support van, were seen parked at the top of Bold Street with one officer pictured outside on the street this morning (Sunday, May 31).
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO they were contacted by North West Ambulance Service at 7.45am following reports of a concern for an 18-year-old.
It was reported a man had collapsed inside an apartment on Bold Street.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A statement from the force said: “We are investigating following reports a male had collapsed inside an apartment on Bold Street in Liverpool city centre.
“We were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service at 7.45am today, Sunday 31 May, following concern for an 18 year-old.
“The male was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
