Another very warm day is on the cards right across the country, but some areas will be hit with thunderstorms later today.

Clare, Kerry and Limerick will be under a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning from 3pm until 9pm.

Potential impacts in areas affected by thunderstorms will include localised flooding, lightning damage and difficult travelling conditions.

It will be a sticky day overall as it is set to be warm and humid. Showers will move up from the southwest during the day and some will turn heavy. Highest temperatures will range from 21 to 27C.

Tonight, showers will keep moving across the country and turn heavy or thundery in some areas. Temperatures will fall no lower than 14 to 17C.

7 Day Weather Forecast – 4th August – 15th August

Those conditions will continue into tomorrow morning when there will be clouds and showers, but that will break later in the day to bring plenty of sunshine. Highest temperatures will be between 19 and 26C.

Things will continue as they have been for the week so far, with more warm and humid weather on the way and plenty of dry spells as well, though that will be broken up by showers.

Friday will be dry and sunny apart from a few isolated showers, with highest temperatures of 19 to 26C.

High temperatures will remain into the weekend, but Saturday could see some showers in the southwest after. Those shower may turn heavy or thundery, and will spread further north during the evening, with highs of 20 to 26C.

More heavy or thundery showers could be on the way for Sunday, though there will be bright spells as well and temperatures will again climb as high as 26C in some areas.

Early signs for the beginning of next week show bright spells and showers for Monday, though there will be more heavy or thundery showers and temperatures in the low to mid 20s.
