Gardaí have appealed for witnesses after a gang of men arrived at a pub in Co Limerick, armed with knives and bottles.

The incident occurred at a pub in Newbridge on Sunday evening, August 10, at approximately 10pm.

It is understood the incident was targeted, as the group carried bottles containing alleged chemicals and searched for someone.

A garda spokesperson told the Irish Examiner that no criminal damage or injuries were reported at this time.

As investigations continue, they urged any potential witnesses to come forward.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident is asked to make contact with investigating Gardaí at Newcastle West.
