These QS rankings reflect the strength of our global reputation and the outstanding quality of our staff, students and partnerships around the world. They recognise not only the calibre of our teaching and research, but the impact we have through innovation, international collaboration and our contribution to addressing some of society’s biggest challenges.
The rankings also show us that higher education is becoming increasingly competitive globally, backed by significant investment in universities across Asia and elsewhere. Against that backdrop, remaining amongst the world’s top 40 universities is significant, but we are determined to improve our position in the coming years.
Our Manchester 2035 strategy is focused on preparing students for a rapidly changing world, translating our research excellence into real-world impact, and working with partners to drive growth, opportunity and innovation. As we continue to deliver on those ambitions, we want to strengthen our position among the world’s leading universities.
