WASHINGTON (TNND) — Israeli’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said early Friday morning that all of Lebanon must burn as the Trump administration tries to go through with the Iran ceasefire agreement.

“For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must weep,” Ben Gvir wrote on X. “All of Lebanon must burn!”

He said that Israel’s duty is to protect its citizens and that takes precedent over everything else.

“With all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to the entire world that the blood of our sons and the security of our citizens are not forfeit,” Ben Gvir said. “All of Lebanon must burn. Our supreme duty is to protect the citizens of Israel and the soldiers of the IDF, and this commitment takes precedence over every other consideration.”

He concluded by saying the only way to win the war is to “go berserk.”

“I told the Prime Minister, even in our private meetings: For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must weep,” he continued. “Enough with the ping-pong. In the Middle East, you don’t win with measured responses and restraint—you need to go berserk. To obliterate. To crush the terror.”

Ben Gvir’s remarks come after President Donald Trump signed the Iran peace agreement.

The agreement calls for Tehran to dilute its stockpile of uranium and waives U.S.-backed sanctions on the country. This allows Iran to sell its oil freely.

Israel has denounced the deal and Vice President JD Vance on Thursday criticized members of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet for being critical of the deal.

CNN host Jake Tapper criticized Ben Gvir on X.

“Israeli National Security Minister Ben Gvir, an anti-Arab racist zealot, says “all of Lebanon must burn.” That’s almost 6 million people. Hideous,” he wrote on X.

Piers Morgan said Ben Gvir was advocating for a genocide in Lebanon.

“How can anyone still support this Israeli govt when psychopathic monsters like Ben Gvir are ministers in it, advocating genocide in Lebanon?” he asked. “Disgusting.”
