WASHINGTON (TNND) — New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani attended the Democratic Socialists of America’s victory party on Tuesday, where attendees chanted for the end of Israel.

David Sivella, a New York City resident and former Democratic political consultant, posted a video on Wednesday of the chanting on X, in which Mamdani was seen hugging New York State Assemblywoman Emily Gallagher.

“They were chanting ‘From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free’ at the @nycDSA victory party. DSA followers are radicalized with obvious approval of the @NYCMayor, and were all calling for the end of @Israel last night. Still afraid of them calling you ‘Islamophobic’?” Sivella wrote.

In a reply post, he included a repost of the original video, saying, “And the reporter that posted this video thought FREE PALESTINE was the relevant chant. This is the NYC press and the New NYC Democratic Party.”

New York Post reporter Hannah Fierick posted the video on X on Tuesday, writing, “@NYCMayor shares embrace with an emotional @EmilyAssembly, while the crowd chants ‘Free Free Palestine.'”

Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro posted on X on Wednesday regarding the Tuesday primary elections, “Last night, a bunch of candidates who literally despise America won in NYC. Establishment Dems, who live in fear of their radicalized base, will cave to them. By 2028, people who hate the country and wish to destroy it could be in charge.”

Former White House press secretary for the George W. Bush administration, Ari Fleischer, posted on X on Tuesday after the election, “Free advice for New Yorkers: get out while you still can. The rise of socialists in NYC will threaten everyone. Mamdani’s power will increase, socialists will gain more seats and they’re coming next for you. Get out now. NYC is going down the tubes.”

Democratic House candidates backed by Mamdani won their primaries in Big Apple districts on Tuesday, ousting incumbent congressmen.

Darializa Avila Chevalier, New York State Assembly member Claire Valdez, and Brad Lander won against Rep. Adriano Espaillat, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, and Rep. Dan Goldman, respectively. The winners were either formally backed by the DSA or at least received endorsements from Mamdani and DSA members.
