An incident on an escalator at a mall in North York has left one man dead, police say.
Officers responded to the RioCan Empress Walk shortly after 5 p.m.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene, police say. They add that the plaza has been evacuated and shut down as a result.
Police say the Ministry of Labour has been notified.
