He recently underwent neck angioplasty and is currently recovering in a Mumbai hospital, as confirmed by his daughter Sunaina Roshan. She has also shared an update on the filmmaker’s health and has reassured fans that her father is “completely fine now.”

Earlier, according to media reports, Rakesh Roshan was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai on July 16 following a sudden dip in health. His daughter Sunaina Roshan later confirmed the news while talking to Amar Ujala. She said, “Yes, papa had an angioplasty in his neck, but he’s perfectly fine now. There’s nothing to worry about. He’s resting.”
The latest reports state that Rakesh Roshan has been moved from the ICU to a general ward, and his condition is stable. According to India Forums, Hrithik is visiting his father in the hospital regularly, he is accompanied by girlfriend Saba Azad.

Earlier, on March 28, Rakesh Roshan shared an image with son Hrithik on Instagram and wrote, “Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings!”
This news took over social media and fans cannot wait to witness Hrithik as an actor and director.
According to the latest reports, Krrish 4 is currently in the pre-production stage and set to start filming in early 2026.
The veteran actor is known for directing hit Bollywood movies like Karan Arjun, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gya, Krrish, and Krrish 3. He was also a notable actor in the 1970s and 1980s, having appeared in films such as Man Mandir, Khel Khel Mein, and Khandaan.
