Long Lane Hand Car Wash cordoned off after a fight between a group of males
A man is in a serious condition after a fight between a group of men broke out at a car wash in Liverpool. Emergency services were sent to Long Lane Hand Car Wash at around 6.35pm on Sunday (July 5), following a report of a group of men fighting.
Merseyside Police officers arrived to find a man in his 20s with a “puncture wound” to his back. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The suspects fled the area before officers arrived, with an investigation now underway to find those involved.
In a video seen by the ECHO, a group of men can be seen fighting at the car wash before they are chased away while muffled shouting can be heard from the men.
When the ECHO attended the scene, surrounded by various industrial estates, forensic officers had bagged several items from the car wash, including what appeared to be two shovels.

A small cordon remained at the entrance of the car wash while the scene was investigated.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following a disturbance in Walton this evening.
“At around 6.35pm today (Sunday, July 5), we received a report of a group of males fighting on Long Lane.
“Officers attended the scene but the suspects had left. A man aged in his 20s was taken to hospital with a puncture wound to his back and he is in a serious but stable condition.
“An investigation is ongoing to find those responsible and we are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
