U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he believes the ceasefire with Iran is now “over,” as the two sides traded strikes after the Iranian regime was accused of attacking three commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Crude oil prices jumped more than 4% on Wednesday as this news traveled, and in the U.S., fears are growing about seeing gasoline prices spike again like they did a few months ago.
During a NATO summit in Türkiye, President Trump said, he would allow negotiators to continue talks, but that ultimately it was “just a waste of time dealing with them.”
