Cinderella, Fiona, Elsa and Moana passed us from right to left, flapping their large flippers and giving us a scrutinizing look. The four are large sea turtles, part of the breeding group of the National Sea Turtle Rescue Center. They swam slowly, and for a moment it felt as if we had dived into the ocean depths. Watching them at the new visitor center in Mikhmoret is mesmerizing. The guide, Lotem, identified them and called out their names based on the colored spots on their shells. For a few minutes, the world was blue, watery and moved in slow motion. I didn’t want to move.
