Police confirmed there was an emergency services presence at the scene and said a man had been found with non life threatening injuries. They have not released any further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Officers also urged locals to stay away from Lincoln High Street and avoid speculating on social media.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are currently attending an incident in Lincoln High Street, near to Altham Terrace, where a man has been found with injuries not thought to be life threatening.
“Emergency services are currently on the scene and we are asking members of the public to avoid the area for the time being.
“We would ask people not to speculate at this time, especially on social media as this can impact our investigation.”
