Key stat: The Lions were just 1-for-12 on the afternoon on third down but did convert all three of their fourth-down attempts, converting on Allen passes to Meeks and TeSlaa in the first half and a Jacob Saylors 4-yard run on a 4th & 1 in the third quarter.

Big performance: For a second straight preseason game, Meeks was Detroit’s leading receiver. The undrafted rookie out of Syracuse caught three passes for 78 yards and a touchdown last week in Atlanta. He followed that up with seven catches against the Dolphins Saturday for 93 yards and another score.

Meeks, 6-foot-2, 218 pounds has had a nice training camp and preseason and has likely given general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell plenty to talk about.
