Mike, who runs youtube channel Urbex Drone View, heard about the incident online and saw the aftermath. He approached from the North of the River Tyne and saw emergency services at the scene.
Mike said: “When I arrived on the North side to get some drone footage, I was met with the tangled wreckage of the dockside crane, highlighting the sheer force of the incident.
“Behind a line of emergency service vehicles, I could also see that several cargo containers aboard the BG Orange had been dislodged from their original positions, as shown in the accompanying photographs.”
