In the Democrats’ election campaign, one can find preventing West Bank annexation, fighting Jewish terrorism, normalizing with Saudi Arabia, getting rid of Hamas… in other words, minimizing the damages caused by the current government without changing the system

Based on the results of the Democrats’ primary, it’s possible to know not only who will fill the first 10 spots on its Knesset ticket, but also where the boundaries of the Israeli left’s political imagination currently lie. The ticket that seeks to present an alternative to the current government makes no mention of the word “occupation” in its diplomatic-security platform. Nor does it mention “settlements,” “a Palestinian state” or even the word “left.”
