A new fashion has emerged since the official launch of the Netanyahu campaign: podcasts. Israel’s prime minister is taking time out from matters like Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, the collapse of the Israel Defense Forces and international isolation to run around tiny, dim studios, where all kinds of flattering PR personalities interview him in an “intimate” and “folksy” atmosphere. Sample questions include: “You look great. Why did the media say you have cancer?” “Your wife looks amazing. Why do they say Photoshop?” “You’re such a cool guy. What’s the deal?” “Who will win the World Cup?” “Was there betrayal on October 7?”
