JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A Madison County man accused of setting the Beth Israel Congregation building on fire earlier this year will go to trial in October.

Pittman is facing multiple counts in connection with breaking into Beth Israel, dousing the inside with gasoline and setting it on fire.

He is currently being held in the Forrest County Jail.

An order handed down by Wingate on Tuesday states that the trial will begin at 9 a.m. A pre-trial conference in the case is set for September 17.
