Police have issued a statement following what they have described as a “reported disturbance involving a group of males”.
Merseyside Police said: “At around 12.45pm today (Thursday 30 July), we received a report that males were fighting at the junction of Smithdown Road and Hawarden Avenue.
“Emergency services attended the scene and two males have been detained. We are in the very early stages of investigating the full circumstances of what happened, identify all those involved and establish the extent of any injuries.
