Greater Manchester Police is appealing for witnesses

A man was fighting for his life in hospital today after an electric bike he was riding hit a house.
Paramedics and police were called to Alder Grove in Edgeley, Stockport, at lunchtime on Thursday after reports of a collision.
The man, who is aged in his 30s, was on a a Sur-Ron electric bike. Police said he was taken to hospital ‘for treatment with life-threatening injuries’.

In a statement, GMP said: “Officers responded to a collision involving a sole rider of a Sur-Ron electric bike which collided with a house on Alder Grove, Edgeley, on July 30. The incident occurred at around 1.38pm when a Sur-Ron collided with a house on the street.
“A man in his 30s was taken to hospital for treatment with life-threatening injuries.
“As part of this investigation, officers from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“This includes anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage from the area.
