The Brisbane Lions confirm forward Eric Hipwood will miss Sunday’s Round 24 clash with Hawthorn due to injury, though midfielder Jarrod Berry is still a chance to play.
Berry, who dislocated his shoulder in Friday’s win against Fremantle, received positive news after he underwent scans on Monday which cleared him of any serious injury.
The Club will now decide whether to play Berry on Sunday or give him the next two weeks to recover for the first final.
Hipwood also underwent scans, after sustaining a calf injury during Friday’s win over the Dockers, which showed a calf tear likely to sideline him for three to four weeks.
In more positive news, the Lions are confident exciting forward Kai Lohmann will return from a calf injury to face the Hawks at the Gabba on Sunday night.
The Club will provide a full injury update on Tuesday following training.
