ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday, August 7, according to Roanoke Police.
Police say they responded at 8:50 p.m. to a crash involving a sport utility vehicle and motorcycle at the intersection of 11th Street NE and eastbound Orange Ave.
Roanoke Fire-EMS treated the motorcyclist who had been thrown from the motorcycle during the crash, according to police.
Joshua Moore was transported to Carilion Memorial Hospital. He died of his injuries sustained in the crash.
Police say the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with Roanoke Police Crash Scene Investigators.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation, according to police.
