Here are Saturday’s latest updates:
■ Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon killed 11 people and wounded 12, according to Hezbollah, which said the strikes hit a house near Ansar and a building in Deir ez-Zahrani. Lebanon’s health ministry confirmed two deaths in Deir ez-Zahrani, while Lebanese media reported seven killed in Ansar. Hezbollah warned that continued Israeli attacks would be “met accordingly.”
■ Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam condemned the Israeli strikes, saying they violated Lebanon’s sovereignty and the framework governing the situation in the south. Israel said it struck in response to Hezbollah attacks in the Ali al-Taher ridge, which it described as part of an Israeli-controlled buffer zone.
■ The UAE accused Iran of attacking an ADNOC-linked vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, the third reported attack on vessels belonging to the state oil company in 48 hours. No crew members were injured. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said an unknown projectile struck a bulk carrier.
■ Trump said the United States will declare the Strait of Hormuz U.S. territory “pretty soon,” saying the move would come after Washington finishes defeating Iran. The comments came as tensions escalated over attacks on commercial vessels in the strategic waterway.
■ Iran has not decided whether to resume negotiations with the United States, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, according to ISNA. He said Qatar and Pakistan were exchanging messages with Tehran, but that this did not amount to negotiations.

■ A man was charged with hate crimes after an attack at Manhattan’s Central Synagogue during Friday’s Shabbat services. Police said the suspect assaulted a congregant and a member of the synagogue’s security team. No one was seriously injured.
