LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a west Lincoln crash that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
On Friday, police and emergency personnel were called to the area of Homestead Expressway, just north of Rosa Parks Way on the report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan at 9:52 p.m.
According to LPD, a northbound motorcycle crossed the median into southbound lanes on Homestead Expressway, where it was involved in a head-on crash with a southbound sedan.
The motorcycle driver, a 49-year-old Lincoln resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and three passengers of the sedan were treated at a local hospital but did not suffer any severe injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. LPD asks anyone with information to call their non-emergency number at 402-441-6000.
