LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln Police Department has identified the motorcyclist killed in a west Lincoln crash on Friday night as 49-year-old Eric Supencheck.
Police and emergency personnel were called to the area of Homestead Expressway, just north of Rosa Parks Way, after receiving a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan at 9:52 p.m.
According to police, a northbound motorcycle crossed the median into southbound lanes on Homestead Expressway, where it was involved in a head-on crash with a southbound sedan.
Supencheck died at the scene, police said. The driver and three passengers of the sedan were treated at a local hospital but did not suffer any severe injuries.
Supencheck’s family has set up a GoFundMe to support his two children during this time. According to the page, his family was preparing to celebrate Supencheck’s 50th birthday on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
