BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Boise Police have arrested two suspects related to a drive-by shooting in Boise last weekend, which left one young woman dead.
Boise Police have arrested 18-year-old Ulisses Macareno of Meridian and an unnamed 17-year-old. In the early morning hours on August 30, a drive-by shooting in Boise outside of a house party resulted in the death of 22-year-old Destiny Gonzalez from Caldwell.
Police do not believe Gonzalez was the intended target. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for both suspects earlier on Thursday. Macareno was arrested at a home in Meridian. The 17-year-old suspect, who is not being identified because he is a juvenile, was arrested with assistance from Nampa and Caldwell Police at a home in Caldwell.
Boise Police believe the juvenile fired the weapon and that Macareno was driving the vehicle. Macareno has been charged with Murder 1 – aiding and abetting. The 17-year-old is being charged with first-degree murder.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
