At least four people have been killed in Israeli attacks and 20 people were injured in the Nabatiyeh area in the south, Lebanese state news agency NNA reported.
The Israeli military also attacked and destroyed Ghandour hospital in al-Nabatiyeh a-Fauqa, a building that has been out of operation for years. Injuries were reported.
The city of Nabatiyeh was also hit by a violent airstrike targeting a historic building owned by the brother of lawmaker Nasser Jaber. The building was previously a restaurant and was completely destroyed.
The strike caused massive damage to the regional finance department and the agriculture department in Nabatiyeh, both in a building adjacent to the targeted site.
Offices sustained damage, windows and doors were shattered, and files and papers were scattered everywhere. Dozens of shops and cafes surrounding the strike site were also damaged.
Earlier, the Israeli military previously said the Lebanese Hezbollah militia had attacked Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon using two drones.
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops shot down one of them. None of the soldiers were injured. This constituted a gross violation of the ceasefire agreements between Israel and Lebanon, the IDF said, adding Israel was attacking targets in southern Lebanon.
Israeli news site ynet, citing security sources, said the Nabatiyeh area hospital was no longer in use and had been misused by Hezbollah as a base. The allegations could not be independently verified.
