According to the police, the first suspect, a 19-year-old from the Shomron area, was arrested first. On a search of his vehicle, police found several suspicious items, including an airsoft rifle, a knife, a penknife, and tear gas.
Later, the police also located the second suspect, an 18-year-old from the Jordan Valley area. The 18-year-old was in active mandatory IDF service.
According to the police, the 19-year-old suspect was arrested following a joint investigation with the Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency) involving the collection of testimonies and evidence using “various technological tools and capabilities.”
Police added that they aim to bring “everyone who took part” in the Kusra attacks to justice, noting that they plan to request an extension for the suspect’s detention during his upcoming court hearing.
