Death investigation after man found dead inside home, Sacramento sheriff says

Jonathan AyestasNORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. —

After a man was found dead inside a home, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office on Monday said it launched a death investigation.

The agency’s communications center got a request around 5:15 p.m. Sunday to assist the county’s fire department at a home in the 3700 block of Lenore Way, east of Watt Avenue. A caller reported finding their brother dead.

Deputies went to the home and found the body, and the sheriff’s office said it is investigating whether the death is the result of a homicide.

The sheriff’s office said it will have to wait for an autopsy report to determine whether homicide was a factor in the death.

Details on the person’s identity were not released.
