The United States had quite the close call against Italy on Sunday, escaping with a 55-52 win that earned them automatic qualification to the quarterfinals.
They had an easier go of it against Czechia on Monday.
Led by a massive performance from Breanna Stewart and strong efforts from Napheesa Collier and Jackie Young, Team USA cruised to a 105-64 victory. Here’s a look at the country’s top performers from the contest:
Eliska Joklova had a nice game for Czechia, finishing with 19 points and three rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to trouble a revitalized Team USA.
Stewart, in particular, was just too much for Czechia to handle, though nobody on Team USA found too much resistance in this one:
