ELKHORN, Neb. (WOWT) – One person is dead and another hospitalized after a crash in Douglas County Saturday morning.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened in the area of 204th and Bennington around 10 a.m. Saturday.
The DCSO says a sedan heading east on Bennington Road ran a stop sign and was hit on the driver’s side by a semi truck heading south on 204th.
The driver of the sedan was declared deceased at the scene. The passenger was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say 204th Street between Rainwood Road and Highway 36 are closed due to the crash.
