Brandon Fried, Executive Director of the Airforwarders Association, says the Europe to Middle East freight route was one of the most significantly impacted by the Iran war, with air cargo dropping 16% in July. He adds that AFA remains “cautiously optimistic” on air cargo demand picking up again – but will focus on routing around the Middle East amid the worsening regional conflict.
