Araqchi made the remarks during a meeting with Secretary General of the Arab League Nabil Fahmy in New York on Friday, where they discussed regional developments, particularly the issue of Palestine and the escalation of Israeli regime aggression and crimes in Palestine and Lebanon.
Araqchi, who is in New York to attend the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, emphasized Iran’s determination to strengthen mutual trust among regional countries.
He described security as an integrated and indivisible matter that depends on an understanding of shared responsibilities and constructive interaction.
The Iranian foreign minister called for increased dialogue and interaction between Iran and Arab countries, expressing confidence that such engagement would help dispel misunderstandings and concerns that, he said, are the result of propaganda by the common adversaries of Iran and the Arab countries.
For his part, the Arab League secretary general expressed hope that through the efforts of all regional parties and the expansion of dialogue and interaction, mutual trust would be strengthened and cooperation among the countries of the region would increase.
