The IDF released footage on Sunday showing a terrorist using a child to transfer weapons into a civilian home in central Gaza in an attempt to prevent the military from striking the location.
“The terrorist exploited the child, using him as a human shield to transfer the weapons, in an attempt to prevent the IDF from striking and thwarting their transfer,” the IDF said in its afternoon statement. “Upon identifying the presence of a child, the IDF refrained from carrying out any strikes against the terrorist.”
The military described the scene as an example of the “systematic exploitation of children by terrorist organizations for terrorist purposes, in violation of international law.”
Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr was documented abducting Argamani and Avinatan Or from the Nova music festival to Gaza on the back of a motorcycle during the massacre.
Sakr is affiliated with global jihadist organizations operating in the Gaza Strip, the IDF said.
The military added that he had supplied Hamas with weapons throughout the war, as well as advancing attacks against troops and Israeli civilians.
