1 killed, 2 injured in State Route 160 crash, CHP says
The California Highway Patrol said roads are closed following the morning crash in Sacramento County.
NOVERD, Calif. —
One person is dead and two people are injured after a car crash Sunday morning on State Route 160 north of Antioch.
CHP’s South Sacramento division said around 5:30 a.m. a Kia Forte was driving northbound on State Route 160 when it crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a Ford F-250 pickup truck hauling equipment.
The driver of the Kia was killed in the crash and the two people in the truck were taken to the hospital with injuries, according to CHP.
CHP is investigating and it is currently unknown whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
State Route 160 was closed at Sherman Island Cross Road for several hours because of the crash. All lanes are now open.
