Lindsay Clancy’s attorney set a “nightmarish precedent” by accusing the lone holdout juror of breaking the law by not clearing the killer mom of murder, the juror’s attorney said Monday.
Kevin Reddington likely violated the constitution by revealing Michael P. Desronvil’s identity and then accusing him of being an “obstructionist” for not agreeing with others who felt the mom should be cleared of murdering her three young kids she strangled with exercise bands.
“That is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard in almost 20 years of practicing law. It is categorically false,” Paltzik told Fox News of the suggestion his client broke the law in his decision-making.

“In accusing a juror of committing a crime, Kevin Reddington is clearly violating the Sixth Amendment. He’s clearly violating the right to trial by jury,” he added.
“Michael had zero doubt” in his decision that Clancy was guilty, Paltzik said, saying it was based on “a mountain of evidence.”
“The question now is, do we want to have a constitution? Do we want to have a Sixth Amendment? Do we want jurors to feel safe when they show up to perform their civic duty?

“Because we’re not going to have a criminal justice system if jurors are afraid of reprisals,” Paltzik said.
“And what Kevin Reddington is doing here, he is setting a nightmarish precedent.”
Desronvil, a devout Catholic and Haitian immigrant, was thrown into the limelight when he was revealed to be the man who defied his 11 co-jurors — who had concluded Clancy was innocent of killing her three young children by reason of insanity.

He said he plans on filing a bar complaint against Reddington, but would not confirm whether or not he considers filing a defamation lawsuit.
Reddington filed a motion with Judge William Sullivan, who oversaw the weeks-long trial, to investigate Desronvil’s alleged domestic violence history and use of his cellphone after other jurors claimed he was using the device during deliberations.
Paltzik believes that motion will be denied on Tuesday.

“You can’t investigate a juror because the juror followed the law and the evidence and came to a different conclusion than the one that you wanted, Kevin Redddington,” he said.
“Kevin Redington wanted this for his legacy. He wanted so desperately to win this trial.”
Clancy, 38, confessed to killing 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan at the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023.
Her defense team argued that postpartum psychosis left her not criminally responsible, however Desronvil was convinced the physical evidence and witness testimony showed Clancy knew what she was doing.
Reddington did not respond to inquiries regarding Paltzik’s accusations, Fox News said.
