An unusual group started to gather in a Jerusalem park on Monday afternoon, during the Sukkot holiday. Alongside the families barbecuing and guiding their kids, home on break, through the playground, about 1,500 foreign visitors gradually flowed in. They carried large national flags – and in some cases wore them, too. Some, like a Thai delegation, were dressed in elaborate national costumes, drawing curious stares from nearby children and requests for photos from their parents.
