The regiment shared footage of its recent operations on September 29, showing air defense crews engaging enemy unmanned aerial vehicles near the line of contact.

The published footage includes the destruction of russian jet-powered Shahed-type drones as well as Banderol drones. The interceptions took place close to the battlefield, before the aircraft could continue toward targets farther behind the front line.

According to the regiment, engaging such threats in the forward echelon of Ukraine’s air defense network helps prevent them from penetrating deeper into Ukrainian territory.

Jet-powered strike drones pose a particular challenge to air defenses because their higher speed can reduce the time available for detection and interception compared with slower propeller-driven UAVs.
