ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Fifteen 18-wheelers were involved in a 50-car pileup in Orangeburg County Thursday morning.
The incident occurred on I-95 before 9 a.m., causing all lanes to be blocked at mile markers 97.5 to 102. The interstate did not fully reopen until around 6 a.m. Friday.

According to the Santee Fire Service District, the collisions resulted in 4 entrapments.(CNN/Amy VanArkel)
About 11 people suffered minor injuries and were taken to the local hospital for treatment, the service district stated.
Orangeburg County Victim Services was on scene, along with the sheriff’s office and others, as crews worked for over 20 hours straight to clear the wreckage.
