In comments at a weekly press conference on Sunday, Esmaeil Baqaei decried Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent presence in the United Arab Emirates and the Zionist regime’s efforts to foment tensions.

He said Iran’s recommendation to all neighboring countries is to observe the rights and responsibilities of good neighborliness.

“We are committed to the principle of good neighborliness, and we hope our neighbors will observe it and will not allow their territory to be exploited by enemies,” Baqaei added.

He noted that Tehran has made its grievances clear regarding the participation of some regional countries in the US and Israeli war of aggression, stressing that Iran would continue to raise the issue whenever an opportunity arose.

The spokesman also referred to meetings held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, saying that “good meetings” had taken place. He noted that during one of those meetings, Iran witnessed the release of some of its nationals from the UAE, expressing appreciation to the Emirati government.

Baqaei, however, stressed that regional countries must pay particular attention to the Israeli regime’s exploitation of regional facilities for attacks against Iran.

“I reiterate that the issue of the Israeli regime’s exploitation of the region’s facilities to carry out aggression against Iran must definitely receive special attention from countries,” he said.

“Their facilities should not be exploited by the US and the Israeli regime,” the spokesman underlined.
