After a 2-0 start to the 2026 season, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have lost their third game in a row.
The latest loss came at home to No. 10 Texas Tech, 29-7.
Colorado led at the half, 7-3. The Red Raiders pulled away after intermission.
The Buffaloes had turnovers on four straight possessions.
Colorado scored on its opening drive of the game and didn’t score again thereafter.
Isaac Wilson, the brother of NFL quarterback Zach Wilson, started at quarterback over Julian Lewis. Wilson threw three interceptions on the night.
For the Buffaloes, the season-opening win at Georgia Tech is a fading memory. Next up for Colorado are games against No. 13 Utah and No. 19 Oklahoma State. Which means that 2-3 could become 2-5.
If the current trend continues, it’s fair to wonder whether Deion will return for a fifth season in 2027.
