Montreal police arson investigators will visit a restaurant on Sources Blvd. in Dollard-des-Ormeaux after it was seriously damaged by fire early Monday.

Police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils said a 911 call was received around 2:20 a.m. reporting the fire at Elixor, near the the intersection of Brunswick Blvd.

Montreal firefighters were bringing the flames under control when police arrived. Subsequent investigation found that one or more suspects broke the restaurant’s window, set the establishment on fire and then fled.

Flammables were found at the scene and there were no injuries reported.

Investigators will examine local surveillance cameras in an effort determine the circumstances leading up to the incident.
