Ottawa police have charged Ottawa Catholic School Board teacher Nancy Lescarbeau with sexually assaulting a student earlier this decade, among other alleged crimes.
Police said Wednesday morning the eight charges against Lescarbeau, 52, date back to 2021 and 2022.
They include sexual assault, forcible confinement, intimidation by threats of violence, assault with a weapon and sexual interference, which is a charge involving children under age 16.
Police did not say which schools Lescarbeau has worked at.
They said they are concerned there could be other victims and ask people with information to reach out to their Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit or Crime Stoppers.
