WBA (Super), WBO and WBC champion, Oleksandr Usyk, faced IBF Heavyweight titleholder, Daniel Dubois, for a second time earlier TODAY (Sat., July 19, 2025) on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Wembley Stadium in London, England, almost two years removed from their first encounter.
And the result was all the same, though it’s safe to say the finish was a little more violent for Usyk this time around after knocking out “Triple D” in the fifth round with a nasty left hook that put the challenger out for the count.
Usyk was content with playing the counter-attack early on, as Dubois was the aggressor through the first few rounds. Usyk won three of the first four frames, while Dubois seemed to be finding his rhythm in the third.
In the fifth round, however, Usyk tagged Dubois with a right hand that sent him crashing to the canvas. The brawling Brit was able to shake off the cobwebs and beat the count, but it didn’t take long for him to feel the canvas once more after the champion unloaded a vicious left hook that had plenty of mustard behind it.
This time around, Dubois didn’t have enough left to get back up.
Oleksandr Usyk Knocks Daniel Dubois Out In The 5th Round‼️
Usyk is P4P #1 right now & a great example of how the smaller skilled man will always be greater than the slower & predictable big man..Wow‼️#Boxing pic.twitter.com/FsqSDVwjWn

With the win, Usyk improves his record to 24-0 and now has two wins over Dubois, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, retaining all of his titles, in the process. The undisputed king of the Heavyweights revealed he will be taking some time off to rest and enjoy his family, but did say he isn’t opposed to facing Fury, Joshua or Joseph Parker next.
We are witnessing one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time set the standard time after time right before our eyes, and it’s sad to even imagine the day he decides to walk away from the fight game, so enjoy the ride while you can.
